Albury made the short trip to neighbours Dorkinians excited at the opportunity to once again show their skills at the Meadowbank Stadium.
With a few away for half term the Eagles welcomed Marcell into the fold who had stepped up from the Kites squad.
P1 - Eagles began well with Jack leading the line and showing some silky skills on the lush surface and passing well. Digby provided superb cover for Tommy in goal and Alexander and Sullivan ran the flanks with Leo in the centre. Leo opened the scoring for the Eagles to give us a narrow lead .
P2 - saw the introduction of Marcell who got straight into the action, constantly putting the Chicks defence under pressure and creating mistakes which he quickly profited from with two quick goals. Then some tenacious hard work from Jack created a chance for Tommy who fired home for 4-0.
P3 - saw Alexander make several saves in goal and get good length on his kicks before Leo’s quick thinking at the kick in saw him score his second of the morning, reward for some of the attention he was receiving from the Chicks midfield. Brave Digby got a nasty knock to the nose but was not off for long and quickly back into the thick of it!
P4 - Alexander continued his Eagle of the Week performance outfield with some tenacious tackling that slowed the home side and helped preserve our clean sheet along with Sullivan and Leo showing some brave goalkeeping skills too.
Well done boys, superb team performance.
Eagle of the Week - Alexander.
